Do you remember when you were a tween or teen? Perhaps you recall the importance of just wanting to fit in amongst your peers or trying to find your own identity. Regardless, you were going through a lot of emotional and physical changes. As a parent, we understand that our youth nowadays are confronted with even more pressure, especially as a result of social media. Always comparing themselves to other tweens or teens seen on social media, whose images are often totally Photoshopped or using a filter, their self-esteem tends to drop. I photograph beautiful tweens and teens who may lack confidence so they can boost their self-esteem.
As a parent, it is our job to build self-esteem in our tween or teen. Self-esteem is an important skill to learn during your adolescent years. Studies have found that having high self-esteem can lead you to having a more fullfilled and happy life! Helping your tween or teen see themself in a positive light will help build their self-esteem. There are many ways you can provide support to your tween or teen during this time. Listen and pay attention, be a good model, emphasize the importance of their talents, tell that they are beautiful, encourage them to embrace their uniqueness, just to name a few...
And what better way to capture your tween's or teen's uniqueness, beauty, and talents than through a photoshoot? Luckily I photograph beautiful tweens and teens who may lack confidence so they can boost their self-esteem.
I can't tell you how many tweens or teens I have done a photoshoot with and afterwards they walked away with a new found self-confidence! During the photoshoot I like to show my clients how great they look behind the camera and after viewing their images, I often hear the tweens or teens make such comments as, "Wow, I look good!" or "I didn't know I could look so beautiful?". Now you tell me what is more moving that? These photoshoots are quickly becoming a favorite of mine! It's very rewarding to be able to capture a young woman's beauty and at the same time, be building her self-confidence.
